Master Lindsay August move to Wellington at a very young age and started training in Taekwondo when she was 4 years old as a student of Grandmaster Pope and has trained with him for the last 20 years. She began volunteering as an assistant in classes when she was a probationary black belt. At the age of 18 she achieved the rank of 4th degree black belt, earning the title of “Master Instructor”.  In 2019, she became Grandmaster Pope’s first 5th degree black belt, and the Academy’s Technical Director. One of her favorite roles in Taekwondo was as the leader of the Demo Team. She has always been passionate about passing along the things she learned from Taekwondo- confidence, discipline, perseverance, respect- to the next generation of students, both children and adults.
